I am so grateful for the freedom that God has provided for us through our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus came into the world to free us from sin and the things that bind us, and equip us for joyful obedience in the Holy Spirit. The good news of the gospel has impacted billions of people over these past 2,000 years. That same good news was a major shaping force in the unfolding history of America. I’m also grateful for the political, economic, social and religious freedoms we enjoy in America — the result of all those before us who believed, worked, sacrificed, and died for these freedoms.
