We spend a lifetime working, saving, giving, and planning for the future. But eventually, we have to admit one thing: you can’t take it with you. So, what if some of what you’ve worked so hard to build could continue making a difference long after you’re gone? On Wednesday, October 14 at 6:30pm, we’ll take a practical look at ways you can be intentional about your giving, make wise use of available tax benefits, and
remember Christ Church in your current and future plans.

Planned giving isn’t only for people with enormous estates or complicated financial portfolios. For many people, it can be as simple as taking a closer look at the plans and accounts you already have and making sure they reflect your wishes. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to think about legacy. What do you want your generosity to say about what mattered to you? Come learn how thoughtful planning can help you care for your loved ones, make the most of your resources, and leave a lasting legacy of faith and generosity.

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around
once in a while, you could miss it.” — Ferris Bueller
We get so busy doing the next thing in life that we don’t
take time to pause, reflect, and see our own story, our
own history. Life isn’t just about what happens to us, but
the meaning we attach to what happens to us. We all
know people who have gone through the same
experiences, but those experiences have impacted them
in different ways. StoryShare is your opportunity to
reflect, write, and share your own faith story. In this
upcoming five-week session of Midweek in Midtown,
we’ll learn about the components of a story, how to be
gracious to our past selves, and how to craft a narrative
that will bring meaning and hope to ourselves and to
other people.
I believe that your story can and will be an inspiration
to other people, especially when we’ve taken time to see
God in our story!
Join us beginning Wednesday, October 21, at 5:30pm for
dinner in the new Feist Fieldhouse. The Midweek in
Midtown StoryShare session will begin at 6:15pm.

Join us for breakfast, fellowship, music, and a powerful story from our guest speaker, Rick Brinkley, former Oklahoma State Senator.

Rick was once at the height of a successful career, but a gambling addiction led to a devastating series of events that changed his life. His story, alongside the story of King David, reminds us that even when our mistakes have painful consequences, redemption and a way back to God are possible through the grace of Jesus Christ.

Come hear Rick share his story and what he has learned about forgiveness, grace, and finding your way back.

Join us as we celebrate the newly remodeled Feist Fieldhouse! We invite our church family to a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, September 23, at 5:45 p.m. in the church gym. Come see the exciting updates and help us officially open this refreshed space for ministry, recreation, fellowship, and community. We are grateful for everyone who helped make this renovation possible and look forward to seeing how Feist Fieldhouse will continue to serve our church and our neighbors for years to come. Join us as we cut the ribbon and celebrate this exciting new chapter!

One of the highlights of our year is just around the corner! On Sunday October 25, from 12-2, we invite you to gather in the gym right after worship for our Fall Festival, hosted by Children’s Ministry. This is another anchor event for our whole church family=whether you’re young or simply young at heart, there will be something for everyone.

We will begin with lunch together: choose from chili cheese dogs, mini corn dogs or classic Frito pie. Meals are just $5, and for a sweet fall treat, caramel apples will also be available for $1. After lunch, the fun really begins for kids of all ages. From games and activities to the joy of spending time with friends, this Festival is designed to bring our congregation together in a spirit of laughter and community. Mark your calendar, invite a friend, and plan to join us. The Fall Festival is more than just a children’s event – it’s a celebration of who we are as a church family. We can’t wait to see you there!

Worship Wednesdays

6:00-7:00 p.m. September 16th-October 7th

If you need a space to be still, to pray, to praise, and to
worship, we have the space for you. On Worship Wednesdays, we will open the sanctuary for simple worship, scripture, and prayer. Come a few minutes early for some light snacks in the People Place as we connect with each other and with God.

The Men’s Breakfast will be Saturday, September 12, from 8–9:30 a.m. Our speaker will be Isaac Stevens, who currently leads Men’s Ministry at CommonGround Church in Tulsa.

Isaac is a Booker T. Washington graduate and recently graduated from ORU with a degree in Biblical Literature and a minor in Hebrew. He’ll share his story and bring an energetic, motivational message from 1 Corinthians 5 about what it means for us as men to be ambassadors for Christ.

Invite a friend—and especially encourage some of the younger men in your life to come along. We’ll have great food, fellowship, and music!

Questions? Contact Mark Knutson at 918-428-6083.

Blessings Play Group – Come join us for a warm, welcoming space where parents and little ones (up to age 5) can make friends and build real connections. We’ll have learning resources, snacks, and fun activities ready to go! All you need to bring is yourselves. The group meets twice a month, from 10 to 11:30am.

Parents—you need a night. You need a night to catch up on laundry or with your spouse. You need a night to take a deep breath away from your children. You need space just to be where nobody is screaming “MOM” or “DAD,” and the hardest question to answer will be, “And how do you want that cooked?” That’s what Parents’ Night Out is about. We will take care of your children (birth–12th grade) and provide teaching, play, and community for your kids while you have a night to yourself. Parents’ Night Out will be on Wednesday, September 2nd & 9th. Dinner for your kids will be at 5:30 p.m. at the church, and programming will begin at 6:15 p.m. For our birth–6th grade, pickup is at 7:30 p.m., while our 7th–12th grade will be done at 8:00 p.m. Sign up here.
